What Will You Remember?

I was listening to StoryCorps on my way to work this morning. As you may know, StoryCorps is an oral history project in which normal people are given the tools and opportunity to interview one another all over the U.S. The recordings are being archived at the Library of Congress, and eventually they are to be available online.

In today's edition Ken Morganstern was interviewed by two of his daughters, Priya and Bhavani. Mr. Morgenstern is 81. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease five years ago. Three things in the interview caught my ear:

"It's a wonderful life. I get up in the morning; go to sleep at night. And in between, eat three meals."

"The most important thing is, I have a family I love, and they're loving people."

"I have no regrets on anything."

What will you remember when you're 81?
