SOBCon08 is Coming Soon
Liz Strauss of Successful [and Outstanding] Blog(gers) may be the most famous relationship blogger on the internet today. The idea of SOBCon had it's genesis during one of the Tuesday night open comment nights for which her blog is famous. (And if you haven't attended one, please do. It's like meeting friends and family you didn't know you had.)
One thing led to another, and in 2007 the first SOBCon was held. The event, named after the award she presents each week, was so successful, it was decided to make it an annual affair.
This year's SOBCon, SOBCon08, will be held May 2 - 4 in downtown Chicago. The focus is Biz School for Bloggers.
The SOBCon08 program guarantees to send each attendee home with a Business Action Plan that can be immediately executed for measurable success. The “mastermind” teams in which attendees will be interacting will provide uniquely deep working relationships that are more meaningful than the business card trading found at other conference/networking events.
You don't have to be a corporate blogger. Your blog doesn't have to be your business. You just have to want to take your blog to another level for this event to be the place for you to be.
Along with the formal program, you get a chance to hear Christine Kane in person and participate in a face-to-face version of Open Comment Night. You get to bring the virtual world into the physical. How cool is that?
Jason Falls of Social Media Explorer caught up with Liz Strauss, writer of Successful Blog, at SXSW recently and did this interview with her.
What are you waiting for? Visit SOBCon's website to find out more about SOBCon08 and to register.

I am going if I have to skip a car payment to get the airfare! I didn't win the contest, but I am looking forward to meeting all of you and taking my blog/business to the next level and beyond. I will be staying at the CQ, arriving on the 1st to get things together.
Thanks for stopping in, Stephen. I appreciate it and hope to see more of you.
Unfortunately, our meeting will have to remain virtual. I have a bricks and mortar store that keeps me home on the weekends. Please say hi to everyone for me though. You're making a great investment in yourself and your business by going.
(I don't know about missing that car payment, though. :) )
