Podcast 43 - So You Want to be Rich - Or Do You?
January 25th, 2008 by Richard CockrumYou look next door and your neighbor is driving a new Lexus, has a 4 car garage, and the last time his family went on vacation, it was for a tour of the Seven Wonders of the World.
You look around and you have five people living in a two bedroom house. Your Chevy is 9 years old. Your last vacation was a week camping at the local state park.
Who has the better life? Who is happier?
Research, the news, and common experience suggests you may be. Things, the trappings of success, only take you so far on the road to happiness and contentment.
Strange, isn’t it, that wherever you go, however ’successful’ you may be, you’re still there.
This episode of the Shards of Consciousness podcast is based on a post I wrote in April, 2007 called Why You Won’t Be Rich, one of the most popular articles on the site.

This is a great podcast. People are really not choosing to be rich. It’s risky and human being love to avoid painful experience.
I agree people choose secure than freedom. It’s very true and real!
It’s the dream that inspires and move me to achieve success!
