Podcast 22 - How to Get Rid of Negative Emotions
July 5th, 2007 by Richard CockrumWelcome to episode 22 of the Shards of Consciousness podcast.
A few weeks ago I did a podcast on the laws of belief. Theory and models are all fine and dandy, but they’re worthless if they have no practical implications. This podcast uses the laws of belief to develop a powerful technique to help you change your beliefs to help get rid of negative emotions. It is based on a post written in response to a comment to the laws of belief post by Christine Kane, in which she asked, in essence, so how do you use them? How to Get Rid of Excessive Negative Emotions was the result.
This is one of the longer podcasts I’ve done, so give yourself some time when you go to listen to it. If you’re anything like me, you’ll need to listen to it more than once, but the time spent is well worth if.

Rick,
Great podcast! I thought you used the theater analogy very deftly throughout the episode.
Mike
P.S. Definitely will need more than one listening…

Thank you, Mike. The credit for the theatre analogy goes to Christine. It was her idea.
If you’re more of a visual learner, the text can be found in the post on dealing with negative emotions on which I based the podcast. It’s well worth the effort to learn the technique. Not only does it help us deal with negative emotions, it teaches us a lot about dealing with our beliefs in general and helps develop our creative imagination.
