The Window. We use them at the bank. They're in the walls of our houses. Sometimes the eyes are called the windows of the soul. They're all over our computer desktop. The window has become a metaphor for not only looking at the world, but a way to invite the world in to our lives, to interact with it.
Carolyn Manning at Thoughts & Philosophies will be hosting a virtual conference this Friday, May 11- 12 Eastern Time called Getting It Together. Come, interact through the window of the internet with some great bloggers as we talk about
- Scheduling your best life
- Prioritizing before you go crazy
- Todays urgencies often mean nothing tomorrow
- Long-term projects need short-term attention
- Dismissing the junk
- Siesta time
Some of the moderators for the conversations include
- Klearchos Kapoutsis of Klearchos Guide to the Galaxy
- Nneka of the Balanced Life Center
- Chris Owen of the Pink Apple Connections
- Leah Maclean of Working Solo
- Carma Dutra of Carma's Window
- Bes Zain of The Reasoner
- me, Rick Cockrum
There will be two session in order to accomodate people in both hemispheres of the planet. The first session will run from !2:00Noon EDT - 6:00PM EDT. The second session will occur 10:00PM EDT - 4:00AM EDT.
Come, join the conversation and share how you get it together to live your best life. Visit the Getting It Together announcement to see who will be moderating each hour. I look forward to seeing you and finding out how we can live our best lives.

Beautiful post, Rick. I was wrong on one point, but it's not too consequential: the second session will actually be until 4am; the last topic will be from 3-4am.
Stay tuned for more updates as things solidify.
Have I had my head elsewhere or did you just move your sidebar to the left?
I made the change, Carolyn.
You haven't had your head elsewhere. I moved the sidebar yesterday to see what the response would be. :-)
What a relief, Rick :) It didn't look familiar, but sometimes mere lack of familiarity can be deceptive.
I like it. Most two-column blogs have the sidebar on the right; this gives Shards a distinction.
