Perceptions

April 10th, 2007 by Richard Cockrum

I saw a man loading his truck as I walked into one of the buildings where I work. Remember, these buildings charge, at most, 30 percent of your income for rent. That includes heat, water, sewage, and electric.
“Moving or fishing?” I asked. He had fishing poles in his hand at the time.
“Moving,” he said. “I can’t afford to live here.”

Lady Glynis gave our two year old granddaughter a pinwheel for Easter. She had never seen one. We showed her how it would spin if you blew into it. She spent the rest of the day taking it from person to person to blow into, then would run off laughing. A two dollar pinwheel.

Perceptions.

    Rick,
I love to read anecdotes from people’s lives. Even if post like this don’t get popular. Never stop.

Biographies, diaries, journals are some of my favorite reading. I think we all have a bit of the voyeur in us. Peeking into someone else’s lives lets us look at our own from a distance.
