Friday Shout Outs - The Little Things are Important
November 24th, 2006 by Richard CockrumTim Draayer blogs at Live Your Best Life. Tim story of a cab driver’s fare shows the importance of the little things.
Next up is Wendy Piersall at WendyPiersall.com. The law of attraction is an important statement about how to live life effectively. It is always working, though sometimes it doesn’t seem to be. In The Top Ten Things that Block the Law of Attraction Wendy shows how we may be blocking its apparent effectiveness.
Terry Starbucker at Ramblings From a Glass Half Full is the Ambassador of Optimism. In A Thanksgiving Miracle and a Lesson in Humanity he tells the personal story of how his Thanksgiving was changed by the act of strangers.
Don’t ever think what we do is not important. Our actions have meaning. Our actions have effects. We may never know what they are, but they are there.
Have a great weekend!

Rick - Each of these examples are great examples of how something might seem little to us can be someone elses big thing. Our actions do have meaning and its important to recognize that small is also big. Thanks for the link luv as well.

Hi Tim,
Thank you for dropping in. I’ve been enjoying what you write, and seeing as I work with seniors by day wanted to share this story of yours.

Hey thanks for the shout out Rick!! I agree that the little things are important - I think they are the most important of all!
It reminds me of my favorite little thing mentioned in this quote,
“It is very easy to see how many seeds are in an apple. You can cut open the apple and count the seeds. However, you never know how many apples lie within each seed.”
Keep planting seeds, Rick.

You’re welcome, Wendy. Thank you for starting the new site.
Half the fun in life is in not knowing which seeds will become an apple, and in realizing that we may never be aware of which one’s sprouted in someone else’s life.
