Happy Birthday Successful Blog!
October 21st, 2006 by Richard CockrumI’m sure you’ve noticed the Official SOB button in my sidebar. This was presented to me many months ago by Liz Strauss, who spends most of her time at Successful Blog, but also writes at Letting Me Be, LizStrauss.com, and a column at the Blogging Times called the D-Z List. This month is Successful Blog’s first birthday, and Liz has invited us, and you, to write, in 25 words or less, about Successful Blog or our experience with it. Well Liz, I managed:
Successful Blog - an active voice for positive communication and community with stops for pizza, great views, and a little vacation every Tuesday.
But, 25 words is far too few to say what I’ve learned from Liz’s articles on how to write for the web and the great crowd of people who hang out there. If you write, spend some time on the site, and even if you don’t write, stop by on Tuesdays to see for yourself. Happy Birthday Successful Blog! May you have many more.

Thank you, Rick,
I think you said quite a lot in just 25 words. I value every one. Now, if only you or I could figure out how to recap the comment nights in 25 words, we’d really we doing something huh? Let’s see.
Folks talked and entertained each other for a while. Joe counted comments. HART told stories. Everyone laughed and forgot about the world for a while.
Remind me to use that on Wednesday.

Hi Liz!
I’m starting to think you already have the brain implant for the internet with your quick response times.
After an all day birthday party what you just wrote will come in handy. Sorry I missed the last two weeks. I haven’t been myself lately, but I’ll be around.
